Paul Harris has taught at San Jacinto College for over 15 years. He has also taught at Stephen F. Austin University, Texas Southern University, HBU and North Harris College. In addition to teaching, Harris is an active musician in the Houston area, playing all of the woodwind instruments. He often plays with Theatre Under the Stars, and is called to play by the Houston Symphony, Houston Ballet orchestra, and a variety of free-lance engagements. He has played with the U.S. Navy Band in Washington, DC, and was principal bassoonist and saxophone soloist with the Symphony Orchestra of the State of Mexico and the Mexico City Philharmonic.
